About Elana
Elana Babbitt (she/her) is a New York City based performer originally from outside of Philadelphia. She has known who she was and what she wanted to do with her life since she was in a mommy-and-me sing-along class at age two, correcting the teacher on which verse came next in “The Wheels on the Bus” -(it was the wipers!). She quickly realized music and acting were her path, and began appearing on stage whenever she could, starting as a dancing eel in a production of Seussical at age seven. Since then, she has performed in many musicals, plays, readings, and workshops.
Elana got her BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University, graduating in 2023. While she was there, she was lucky enough to get to study abroad with the university at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre as a part of their advanced acting program. While at Syracuse, she also got the opportunity to participate in her first professional production- the Syracuse Stage pre-Broadway World Premier of How to Dance in Ohio, where she understudied multiple roles and got her EMC card.
Since moving to NYC in January of 2023 as part of Syracuse’s Tepper program, Elana has been working and auditioning. Some highlights include cabarets at the Green Room 42 such as VZMedia’s 2024 pop song recap. She has also had the opportunity to do background work for TV and film, most memorable being Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie The Dish, and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX show The Beauty. Elana also has modeling experience, having modeled both in print and runway, and teaching modeling at an agency in midtown.
When she’s not auditioning or performing, Elana can be found working with children, including teaching and babysitting. Outside of work, she is an avid reader, Kpop enjoyer, chocolate enthusiast, funky earring collector, and amateur chiropractor.
